Algimantas Aleksandravičius

Was born in Klaipėda, on 2 November 1960. In 1984-1991, he worked in Panevėžys as a bodybuilding coach, in 1986, trained the Lithuanian national youth bodybuilding team. In 1994-1999, he headed the Algimantas Photo Gallery in Panevėžys. Member of the Lithuanian Photographers Association since 1988, Honorary Member (2011).

Exhibitions: has been participating since 1987; has had about 90 personal exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad.

Honours: Artist FIAP (AFIAP, 1996) (International Federation of Photographic Art); Award of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania (2002); Government of the Republic of Lithuania Culture and Art Award (2003); Fujifilm Euro Press Photo Award (2003); Golden Frame of the Lithuanian Press Photo(2006); Medal of the Order for Merits to Lithuania (2007); Knightof the Order ofOrange Nassau (the Netherlands, 2008); Gold Medal on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Lithuanian Photographers Association (2009); LATGA‘A (Lithuanian Copyright Protection Association) Gold Star (2010), Best Baltic portrait (Grand Prix competition Baltic Photo Contest 2011). 3 Golden Frames of the Lithuanian Press Photo(2011), Lithuanian National Culture and Art Award (2011).
